XRP is the native token for products created by Ripple Labs, and used on their network to quickly send money between merchants and buyers. BEP20 Chain XRP (tokenized) is now available on Altbase Altcoin Exchange - with XRP and multicoin support in the works.

XRP has the goal of competing or working alongside existing financial technologies like SWIFT, used by the international banking system.

Taking Over The International Banking System

XRP’s primary use case is for payment settlements, asset exchanges, and remittance systems which allow for increased transaction times, and lower fees for international currency transactions. By using XRP, financial institutions who may not have a direct relationship can quickly transfer funds, easily and quickly as long as they are both on the Ripple Network.

XRP - A Consensus Protocol Alternative

Using a model that is separate from both proof-of-work and the proof-of-stake chains, XRP validates transactions using a consensus protocol. This improves confirmation times, prevents double-spending and allows more transactions per second.

Ripple and XRP have been a stronghold in the market over the years and sit comfortably as the sixth largest project by market cap as of writing this.

XRP In The News

Developments in the current and pending court case with the SEC could see this project go either way in the race to take over the world banking system. With the decisions made in this battle having far reaching ramifications for cryptocurrency regulation, the entire crypto space including the community Altbase, is hoping for a positive outcome for Ripple and XRP.

Altbase has launched a BEP20 version of XRP, a wrapped 1:1 version that runs on the BSC. Updates are coming to the Altbase application, to run cross-chain services that will enable the removal of this step.
