Our philanthropic approach in giving back to our communities has always been an important part of our vision, and because of this, we are actively creating opportunities to make a positive impact on the less fortunate members of society.
In order to reach our goals, we will continue to make meaningful connections and partnerships with like-minded charitable organizations that aim to improve the well-being of people in need.
The first charity collaboration saw members of Altbase, along with Angel Davis and her team from PeopleHelpingPeople, reaching out to communities in Venice Beach, Los Angeles. One hundred meals and bottled water was prepared by the team, along with care bags that included basic human essentials, such as sunscreen, face masks, soap, deodorant, toothpaste, and toothbrushes.
Our team experienced firsthand the situation of those experiencing homelessness. By handing out basic human necessities we aim to alleviate the pressures and hardship that the people of Los Angeles may be experiencing.
Shortly after, we continued working together with PeopleHelpingPeople, this time taking to the streets of Hollywood, Los Angeles. Our CEO Ken Llamas had made a personal appearance, together with Garrett Hartwell our VP of growth and community and other team members of Altbase.
As an alt community coin, we are able to offer other means of support that aren't available to traditional charity work. Airdrops were done on Hollywood boulevard alongside the basic human needs relief work already being done by the team. Airdrops to the homeless is an exciting use of a community coin and we hope to see more of it in the future.
Ken Llamas has explicitly stated his interest in charity work multiple times on stream and social media. Growing up in the Philippines, Ken understands the hardship that many young children experience living in third-world countries.
Children International is a not-for-profit humanitarian organization, focused on poverty-stricken countries. They provide relief by offering sponsorships for children. Sponsoring a child provides them with clean water, food, and other basic human essentials needed for daily life.
On the 21st of May, Ken had gone live on Youtube and together with the Altbase community helped choose eight children to sponsor from his own wallet. Countries included were Mexico, the Philippines, India, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Honduras, and Ecuador. Ken has stated that he aims to do more charity work, both through Altbase and personally with the Altbase community.
Moving forward, we aim to further extend our charitable work, along with further expanding our networks as an alt community coin. We are always open to networking with more not-for-profit charitable organizations.
